"The Veil" City Lounge is a minimal and introverted structure. It aims to create a feminine and inviting environment that contrasts with the rough and masculine neighbourhood nearby. Infused with an element of surprise and discovery, visitors will learn about Sungang, Luohu by unveiling the space and transgressing between Ying and Yang.

'The Veil'은 총 3개의 층으로 커피숍, 도서관, 전시 공간과 사무 공간으로 구성된다. 내부는 곡선 형태의 벽으로 이어지는데, 이는 중국 전통 풍경화의 부드러운 선과 실루엣을 연상케 한다. 물결이 치는 듯한 벽 위로 펼쳐지는 유리 천장을 통해 햇빛이 관통되는데, 이를 통해 따뜻하고 풍요로운 무드를 완성한다. 전략적으로 배치된 격자무늬를 통해 투과되는 자연광은 흥미로운 그림자를 만들어, 이 공간에 대한 궁금증을 불러일으킨다. 더불어 빛의 세기가 대비되는 영역은 '양'과 '음'을 상징하는데, 빛과 그림자의 역동적인 상호작용은 내면의 감정을 자극하고, 감각을 고조시킨다.

One of the key design elements is the interplay of lighting, which penetrates through roof windows and trellises, creating a dynamic ambiance that impacts the spatial experience. This infusion of natural light creates an engaging atmosphere that enhances visitors' perception of the space.
Moreover, the journey of the visitors is carefully curated to enhance their experience. The design strategically guides them through the lounge, allowing them to traverse between areas of contrasting light intensity, symbolising the concept of yin and yang. By transgressing between dark and bright spaces, visitors embark on a sensory exploration that adds depth to their overall encounter and enriches the visitor's experience.
